Reduce Tuition fees by Devolution to local authorities
Britain has a ludicrously centralised system, where the purse strings are tightly controlled by the treasury.
As has been evidenced in Scotland and Wales though, locally managed finances prioritise what is important to them (e.g. education) and are more responsive to the needs of the people.
We the undersigned would like the 1998 devolution act replicated across Britain, to local authorities so that they may decide on what local priorities are (e.g. in a City like Oxford - education, in a City like Brighton - tourism, etc).
