Cap child maintenance disregard for benefit purposes
At the moment any amount of child maintenance is disregarded in full regardless of the amount the parent receives... this can mean those receiving hundreds/thousands of pounds per year can also receive benefits.
For a couple living together they cannot declare a % of their earnings/ benefits as solely for their children and have it disregarded for benefit purposes.
I believe there should be a cap per child, disregarded for benefit purposes as appose to those receiving high maintenance payments also qualifying for Income Support, Job Seekers, Housing & Council Tax benefit and tax credits.
