Mobilise manufacturers to make PPE for medical staff on the Covid-19 frontline
NHS medical staff do not have access to the full PPE- personal protective equipment- that the WHO advise they should have to protect themselves against Covid-19. The Government must address this shortage as a matter of urgency and engage British manufacturers to make more.
Frontline NHS staff are at risk of dying from Covid-19 after the protective gear requirements for health workers were downgraded.
Hospital staff caring for the growing number of those seriously ill could pass the infection on to other patients after catching it at work because of poor protection.
Previously, staff were told to wear full PPE, comprising an FFP3 masks, visors, surgical gowns and two pairs of gloves each. (Guardian) - AS PER WHO GUIDANCE.
They deserve the proper protection.
