Employers to give an average of hours if a business closes because of COVID-19
The Retail and Restaurant industrys most workers have a low hour contract usually of 8 hours instead of contracted hours Employers must give a payment of an average amout of hours per month during the pandemic crisis if the business is forced to close
Hundreds if not thousands of families will be in debt if bills are suspended unless the Government annulled the bill costs most families could or will go bankrupt
Giving a average of hours will allow retail and restaurant workers to pay bills and support their families
These payments should not effect holiday or sickness allowance

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The number of hours paid under a flexible contract is a matter for individual employers, not the Government or Parliament.
We have published a petition calling on the Government to implement Universal Basic Income to give home & food security through Covid-19, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/302284
