Petition Action

Profitable reselling of consumer essentials made illegal during Covid19 crisis

Petition Details

Introduce heavy fines for anyone found to be reselling hoarded essentials such as medicines, sanitary products, hygiene products, foodstuffs and toilet paper etc at inflated prices in order to profit from the current shortage due to the Coronavirus crisis

Additional Information

To protect people who have not managed to gain access to such products over the past days and weeks. This will also stop exploitation of people by unscrupulous individuals and discourage civil unrest. It would also assist in controlling the spread of the virus as people will have better access to essential items without having to search for them from several locations
