Priority testing for social care staff alongside frontline NHS for Covid-19.
We want to ensure that those who are working in close proximity of the elderly, vulnerable and people with disabilities are tested, to safe guard those most at risk. This includes but is not limited to; frontline community careers, residential care-workers, etc.
Unfortunately those most at risk are likely to be in a situation where they are not able to self-isolate due to having additional care needs. This may be because they have a package of care that requires multiple visits to their home/care home. It is extremely important that those dedicated and fantastic people providing the care are clear about their health status to enable them to maintain care support within the community. We need to safeguard our workforce and those most at risk.
