Ditch hi-speed rail link & spend money on National Water Grid
The HS2 Rail link is expected to cost in the region of £32bn to construct and will benefit a small percentage of the UK population in terms of direct benefits.
A National Water Grid would cost an estimated £15bn to build, and would benefit a vast amount of people in southern England where the risk of drought is ever present each year.
