Petition Action

Hold a public vote of no confidence in Boris Johnson and his government

Petition Details

In light of the government's handling of the Covid-19 Pandemic, I request that the government holds a public vote of no confidence in Mr Johnson and his cabinet.

Additional Information

Mister Johnson's shambolic handling of the current Covid-19 Pandemic, his laissez-faire attitude to the safety of masses of poor and vulnerable citizens, and his refusal to issue a closure notice to bars, venues and other public spaces so that their owners may recoup some of their losses in insurance claims, demonstrate clearly a complete disregard for the working populace of this country. He keeps only the interests of his rich and powerful friends at heart, and we deserve better.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.

If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.

Since this petition was created, the Government has announced that pubs, clubs and restaurants are to close. It has also asked everyone to stay at home. You can find out more here: www.gov.uk/coronavirus
