Petition Action

Force Universities to reimburse students their tuition fees for the last term

Petition Details

The Government should force Universities to reimburse students the final term's tuition fees. The closure of Universities around the UK due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) means that students are no longer recovering good value for money teaching.

Additional Information

Universities all over the UK have closed and moved to face-to-face learning and have moved 'online'. This means that students are having to pay for their accommodation in other cities whilst they are not living there as they may have gone home.
Furthermore, the change to 'online teaching' reduces the value for money of the services students are receiving as in some cases they no longer have access to one-to-one sessions with lecturers and they no longer have discussions in seminars.
