Petition Action

Equality for all: Gay Civil Marriage in the UK

Additional Information

Allow homosexual men, women and other to marry.
Allow anyone to marry regardless of gender/sex.

Only registry offices should be able to create legal marriages - this power should be removed from churches and religious bodies.

Churches and other religious organisations can have any marriage ceremonies they wish but the contract should only be able to be created and signed with a civil registrar.

Therefore the term husband and wife should be used whether the relationship is M-M F-F or M-F and all the same rights should be given.
