Prosecute for profiteering & Omit VAT on hygiene products for Covid-19
Thailand's government set an example of enforcing fixed prices, limiting purchases, omitting VAT on necessary products and prosecuting people with up to 7 years in jail and / or fines for inflating prices and delivery charges for cleaning / hygiene products. Let the UK follow this wonderful example.
In times of crisis, people should be thinking of how they can assist the situation rather than thinking of lining their own pockets by inflating prices on necessary goods.
Being clean and hygienic should be a Basic Human Right at any time and should never have been or be taxable. In times of disease, need, necessity & of increased needs for hygiene and public effort; VAT should be waved on all products available to keep Covid 19 spreading & for self protection.
