Grant Visa extensions during the corona crisis until transport services reopen.
Grant extensions to all whose visa is due to expire over the next few months until transportation systems return to normal so they do not find themselves remaining illegally in the face of having nowhere to go.
I have heard of many suffering huge levels of panic and stress about having their visa rejected or not getting an extension. With many airports closing globally, these people have nowhere to go and no viable way to leave if deported. Please don’t add the stress of being forced to worry about staying in the U.K. illegally against their will.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced that if you’re in the UK and your leave expires between 24 January 2020 and 31 May 2020, your visa will be extended to 31 May 2020 if you cannot leave the UK because of travel restrictions or self-isolation related to coronavirus.
