statutory sick pay during Coronavirus for the Self employed.
Taxi drivers, Airport chauffer's, Barbers and those running their own business rely on customers to pay for their services to earn their living. NO business for a self employed means they can't afford to live. the self employed should be entitled to statutory pay to live, pay bills without stress.
with customers self isolating and having self employed business reduced with consumers this makes it hard for example taxi drivers, barbers and other business owned by self employed to make ends meet, no customers means they're not getting paid, so the government should provide statutory pay to ensure the self employed can afford life, pay their bills, purchase supplies, have money to eat even with a decrease in customers due to the governments advice to avoid crowded areas.they need to survive

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
