Petition Action

Freeze rent payments for three months.

Petition Details

On 17/03/2020 the government announced that 3 month holidays would be offered for mortgages. Yet nothing has been offered for social or private renters who would share comparable concerns during these difficult times. Parliament must act to protect the homes of all citizens, irrespective of wealth.

Additional Information

Nearly half of all homes in the UK are rented (private or social). In many respects these people are the most economically vulnarable. The government must act now to prevent poverty, hardship and evictions.
