Allow volunteers to be infected with coronavirus to work supporting the NHS.
Infect young, healthy people before the peak and train them in basic hospital work, so as health care professionals fall ill there is an immune workforce to support the NHS when we hit the peak. Good candidates can come out of businesses impacted by reduced footfall and government cover wage bill.
Needs to be a national response and led by NHS and the government. Cannot be done privately or through individual charities. The time to act is very quickly.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Guidance for people with confirmed or possible coronavirus (COVID-19) infection is being developed by Public Health England, and decisions about medical advice are a matter for medical professionals and the NHS.
The Government is also not responsible for operational decisions by the NHS, which are a matter for NHS England and individual NHS Trusts, not the Government or Parliament.
