Keep all Gym's open throughout the covid-19 shutdowns
I want Parliament / the Government to consider keeping Gyms open regardless of the proposed shut downs of other social and commercial businesses and services.
Gym's are essential for some with regards to supporting their physical health and mental wellbeing. Closing services that support and encourage healthy lifestyle choices is a poor decision as it will only add to the negative effect on health causing increased demand on emergency and GP services. Give people the choice rather than taking it away - so long as gyms are kept clean, and people follow PHE advice there is little impact to the spread of the virus.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition, the Government has announced that all gyms and other leisure venues must close due to coronavirus.
You would be welcome to start a petition calling for the Government to allow all leisure venues including gyms to be allowed to re-open.
