Prosecute shop owners that are profiteering from the pandemic.

Petition Details

Bring in emergency powers to shut down and prosecute shop owners that are increasing their prices on goods associated with panic buying due to the pandemic. Hand sanitizer, toilet paper, dry goods, paracetamol etc.

Additional Information

The government have a moral imperative to ensure that people do not profit from other people’s misery, and also that those on lower incomes have access to these items. Health and nutrition should not just be a luxury for the wealthy.
