3 Month payment holiday for any tenants renting a property due to Covid-19

Petition Details

Give a 3 month holiday in respect of rental payments to any tenants in any form of rental accommodation whether its private, council or through a housing association. This allowing the families not to worry about getting into arrears or evicted from a property.

Additional Information

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic many families who are in rented accommodation, whether this is private, to a council or through a housing association. A 3 month break would reassure tenants that putting health before wealth would be at risk of putting them into arrears, or even evicted from landlords. Government has already agreed the same process for mortgages. Many residents who rent live day to day and may not be able to work if self isolating meaning there is a chance they will have less income
