Petition Action

Duty on alcohol sold in pubs should be temporarily suspended after the pandemic

Petition Details

The duty on alcohol served in pubs, bars and restaurants (as opposed to drink at home) should be temporarily suspended (suggest for two weeks) once the Convid-19 pandemic is under control

Additional Information

The surviving pubs, bars and restaurants will be desperate for foot-fall once we're through the restrictions and life returns to normal. A temporary suspension of alcohol duty would get people through the doors and get the feel-good factor back for the whole country
