Additional Information

Libraries are useful community places for private study, as well as a source of a collection of reference and lending books, videos. Libraries should also have ADEQUATE access & training for members on electronic ways of communication like access via 21st century communication & media devices - like the internet & emails on provider’s websites, e-books, iplayers, digital 24 hour news & other new developing innovative means of electronic IT communication. Libraries should also be transformed into useful community hubs, serving as centres where the community can meet for private study, stage performances, neighbourhood meetings, sports & recreation, café facilities; as well citizens’ advice on education, travel, health, jobs search, housing, etc. Libraries can be staffed mainly by volunteers, which will help the unemployed as job references, etc.
