Allow students to live in halls for the period of closure due to COVID-19.
To allow students to continue living in halls for the duration of closure, including the summer holidays if necessary. Many cannot go home due to the vulnerable family members, homelessness, travel restrictions to their home countries, or otherwise.
Thousands may not be able to return from university due to several reasons associated with COVID-19. In these times, being kicked out of halls can only make the situation worse. In these tough times, we are appealing for universities to allow students to reside in halls for the necessary duration, particularly during the summer vacation, when people are most likely to be expected to vacate.

This would be a decision for individual universities and landlords, not the UK Government or Parliament.
