Turn off all non-essential street lighting during the coronavirus lockdown
Whilst the general population is in self isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 we should turn off all non-essential lighting in our streets and unoccupied buildings so we can all enjoy dark skies over our towns and cities. It might give us all something to smile about during this crisis.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions on when to turn street lights on and off is the responsibility of local authorities/councils, not the UK Government or Parliament. You may wish to submit a petition to your local authority if they have their own petitions system.
