Government to award free grants to small businesses due rather than a loan
To create a law for free business grants that do not need to be replayed. As the government directives, not business failure has caused their crash.
Many businesses will be forced to shut due to the governments actions in the spread of Corona Virus. So business need to be given a grant rather than a loan especially as it is the government directives not business failure that is the case of their collapse.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition the Government has announced grants for small businesses, the guidance for which is available here: www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-business-support-grant-funding-guidance-for-businesses
These grants are only available to certain small businesses, and we have published a petition calling on the Government to extend grants immediately to small businesses outside of SBRR, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/305024
