Increase the minimum wage of health and retail( food & delivery) employees asap
NHS & Care staff are already overworked with it only set to get worse. The poor retail staff are pushed to their limits with abuse & demands. Care assistance, retail workers and ALL hospital staff including porters etc. are our most skilled right now and they need showing we appreciate the hard work
I am seeing so much verbal support for the staff of care homes and retail food chains but that verbal support doesn’t take away the impact of the abuse & high demand they are dealing with. 99% are not used to such high stress levels & are not paid enough to compensate for this. Giving them extra will show the full support of our government & show them they are a work force we truly appreciate! Either the business owners who are seeing increased revenue need to up the pay or the government do.
