Make all outstanding assessments optional for all final year university students
Due to the terrifying uncertainties COVID-19 has caused, final year university students (as so many feel outstanding work is now compromised) should now have the option to opt-out of all outstanding essays and exams, and have their degree classification based on all work graded before campus closure
The closure of university campuses to prevent further spread of COVID-19 has hugely compromised the wellbeing of final year students, whose personal circumstances now vary hugely. For many, their final year is worth two-thirds of their degree grade yet the daily, lived experience of each final year student is more dissimilar and uncertain than ever. The OPTION, for students to have their classification average weighted solely on all assessments completed before campus closure, must be enforced.
