Freeze mortgage payments for Landlords/Owners and scrap Council Tax for all

Petition Details

Freeze mortgage payments, if requested by Landlords/Owners, due to loss of income.

Council Tax should be scrapped entirely, especially those having to pay full tax while a property is empty.

Additional Information

With uncertainty over jobs and income, the Government must offer to help to Landlords and Owners, as many other European countries have already done.

It is unfair to be expected to pay mortgages when there is a loss of income.

Suspending payments for rent, council tax, mortgages and utilities is a matter for individual landlords, councils, mortgage providers and utility providers, and not the UK Government or Parliament.
