Suspension of all Council Tax and/or Rates during the COVID19 outbreak
Temporary suspension of council tax through England, Scotland, Wales and rates in Northern Ireland for the duration of our current situation. minimum period of suspension of 12 weeks. Starting 1st of April 2020.
Every household within the United Kingdom will be or has already been affected by the COVID19 virus, in some cases people have already lost 100% of their income, others have been put on short hours or reduced hours and people on zero hours contract have been asked not to come in until further notice. If suspension of Council Tax can be put in place over this period of uncertainty it will help the general public’s uncertainty of how they are going to support their families over this difficult period.
