Waive taxes on gift vouchers issued by independent businesses

Petition Details

To keep independent bars, restaurants and shops going people can buy gift vouchers. These can be redeemed after the crisis if the company is still in business.

Additional Information

This is a risk to the consumer but if the businesses don't have to pay taxes such as VAT and Corporation Tax on that income it will help keep them going while they have limited turnover. This will hopefully also allow them to pay their staff and keep them.
