Pay tribute to our NHS heroes by creating a NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE DAY
We call for the 5th of July, the birthday of the NHS, to be officially recognised as NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE DAY. Individuals, business and Government may then show on this day, our profound gratitude to NHS staff for their service, and for their courage in the fight against the Coronavirus in 2020.
Let the 5th of July be a day on which our nation pauses together, so those working in the NHS might hear applause from our homes, offices, factories and in the streets right across our Country. Let us each year make the 5th of July, a time in which individuals, business and our Government may focus toward our amazing NHS staff, and together say a collective THANK YOU for their dedication, sacrifice and service.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you want the Government to do something to acknowledge the role of the NHS, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do. The Government is not responsible for designating "national days".
We have started a petition calling on the Government to create a new Bank Holiday to thank those who helped during the Coid-19 crisis, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/303882
We have also started a petition calling on the Government to award Covid-19 medals to all emergency services and involved armed forces, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/302613
