Petition Details

Scrap the HS2 works and spend the money on buying or manufacturing new ventilators as soon as possible to support the NHS through the Coronavirus outbreak.

Additional Information

We need trees to breath...

At least 140 years till this project is carbon neutral and we are in the midst of a climate crisis.

HS2 is a waste of our resources right now.

At the peak of the outbreak the UK will see 60,000-100,000 new patients a week in desperate need of care.
The United Kingdom currently has 5000 ventilators! It is clear this is the best way our government should be spending this money to protect the venerable members of our community, NHS staff and our precious environment.
