Petition Action

Supermarkets to home deliveries but only for key workers and Elderly

Petition Details

Want to government to step in and support key workers and ensure they are getting adequate home supplies so they don't the added stress of their families going hungry

Additional Information

Key workers are crucial to the success plan of ensuring we survive pandemics. Once the WHO have classes any virus as a pandemic then resources need to be adequately utilised.

There needs to be more detailed legislation regarding help for key workers. I am proposing that once a pandemic is declared then Supermarkets should only release delivery slots for 'Key workers' and the elderly & those at risk.

If slots are not available then supermarkets , they need to set up shops in hospital.

In practice many supermarkets are already prioritising the vulnerable and older people for online deliveries. If your local supermarket is not offering this service, you could contact them and encourage them to do so too.
