Suspend Package Travel Regulations due to COVID-19 to save travel industry

Petition Details

Suspend current PTRs so that:
-Tour operators are not responsible for giving refunds for unrecoverable costs
-There be an emergency government consumer hardship fund to fulfil refund payments
-Remove 14-day refund window
-Credit notes be allowed as an acceptable alternative to cash refunds

Additional Information

The Government must make these immediate changed to prevent innumerable company collapses and the loss of many thousands of jobs which will cost the government dearly for many decades to come.

The Government has a responsibility to protect businesses and consumers alike, the above changes must be implemented with immediate effect.
