Urgently introduce emergency legislation to criminalise Coronavirus profiteering
Coronavirus profiteers, buying in bulk, hoarding and duly selling goods that are required by communities at huge profits must be criminalised and subject to the full force of the law. At a time when communities must be pulling together this element of society behaves with no apparent conscience.
During the Coronavirus pandemic we must protect the elderly, the frail, those self-isolating and our vital key-workers who protect us at this traumatic time.
Profiteers, with their selfish behaviour, seek to undermine our society, see only opportunities to make money out of the suffering of the rest of us. The behaviour of these people must be curtailed immediately through emergency legislation.
