Action on Non Exhaust Emissions
The proposed Clean Air Act must include legislation on non exhaust emissions - these are particles from tyres, the road surface and plasticisers. Also known as PM2.5, the major source of these invisible microparticulate pollution are buses and lorries.
Environmentally friendly and sustainable transport solutions must be found for our busy towns and cities which should include light rail systems.
The government should agree to the establishment of a local transport infrastructure fund to enable transport authorities to develop sustainable alternatives including light rail

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you want action on emissions, but we're not sure what you'd like the Government to do, such as a ban or increased taxation.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
