Nominate the NHS for the George Cross
The George Cross is awarded for “acts of the greatest heroism or of the most conspicuous courage in circumstances of extreme danger”. All workers and volunteers for the National Health Service during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
Please give the NHS the George Cross
The George Cross has been awarded to the Island of Malta and also the RUC, meaning that organisations such as the NHS are eligible. All workers and volunteers of NHS trusts as well as paramedics have been placing themselves in harms. In the words of King George VI when speaking of Malta, this should be awarded to “bear witness to the heroism and devotion of its people", the public of the United Kingdom.
Please award the NHS the George Cross.
