Collectively award the George Cross to all NHS staff after the Covid-19 pandemic
The U.K. Government should put forward a suggestion for the awarding of a collective George Cross to all NHS staff following the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
As the highest civilian honour that can awarded, the George Cross is a prestigious decoration founded to honour those civilians who showed acts of heroism in the Second World War. Likened to the Blitz, we are pushing through this pandemic and for that we owe our NHS. Only twice has the George Cross been awarded to a collective; the people of Malta after their air bombardment during WWII and the Royal Ulster Contablury for their hard work in the Troubles. An award to this NHS is much deserved.
