Engage / use Powers to mobilise logistics companies (like Amazon), van capacity
Tap into the expertise and capability / van capacity to delivery to agreed segments of the community free of charge, while “in the area” daily / hourly. No van is ever totally full. Demand use of that space from the Logistics companies.
At a time of crisis, this has the prospect of protecting our vulnerable people , supporting Key Workers and releasing the current over run of our Pharmacy / Prescription services.
And ultimately Saving Lives
They will help the Food Retailers to build on their already great effort to support those in need and those giving their home lives up to care for others.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you want the Government to take action to enable deliveries to members of the public, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do achieve this.
Since you started your petition, the Government has announced that it has started delivering food parcels to clinically vulnerable people: www.gov.uk/government/news/first-food-parcels-delivered-to-clinically-vulnerable-people
You could start a new petition calling on the Government to requisition vehicles or nationalise logistics companies to enable increase delivery capacity for members of the public, if that is something you would like to see.
