Keep sport centres open for Elite Athletes
Elite athletes need the facilities such as pools, gyms and fitness centres to maintain their high levels in sport, especially with the Olympics coming up. Without them their fitness will decline and will be at a disadvantage to those who can afford personal equipment for home use.
These facilities should be left open so elite athletes can train and be at top of their game when competitions start again so that they can continue to earn money. Athletes will struggle without these facilities and their overall fitness will decline leaving them at a disadvantage to those who can afford to buy personal equipment for home use.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since you started your petition it has been announced that the Olympics, which your petition refers to, have been postponed to 2021.
If you still want the Government to allow sport facilities to open for particular people, even though the Olympics are no longer scheduled to take place this year, you could start a new petition calling for this.
