Protect the income of self employed in the same way as employed during COVID19
Salaries of employed people are being protected to 80% or £2,500 per month. Self employed people need the same protection based on recent earnings or self assessments.
Self employed people are in the same crisis. All that is currently being offered is universal credit. This is not enough to live off. Please consider that some households are entirely self employed.

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
