Instruct Wedding Insurers to relax unreasonable criteria in COVID related claims
Wedding Insurers have retrospectively published unfair claim criteria since the outbreak.
We ask that insurers take into consideration the current events linked to the Coronavirus Pandemic, and remove restrictions on policies which were not clearly stated at the time of purchasing the policy.
Wedding couples are suffering huge financial and emotional losses as a result of the government directives in relation to the Coronavirus Pandemic
Weddings are being cancelled days before the event and we rely upon the good faith of suppliers to offer future dates. If suppliers refuse to amend bookings or offer refunds, we rely upon Wedding Insurers who have recently published criteria to refuse cover for most customers. This guidance was not made clear at the time of purchasing our policies.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them.
If you are unsatisfied with how an insurer responds to your complaint you may wish to contact the financial ombudsman: www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/insurance
