Pay the self-employed people the same as the employed ones
As a measure to help the employed people, the Government have decided to pay 80% of their wages while the situation with the Coronavirus is ongoing.
However, for self-employed have only been said they could benefit of the Universal Credit which is less than £400/month.
We request the same help given to employed people to be applicable to self-employed ones and 80% of their usual monthly income, up to at least £2500 to be paid monthly.

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
