Abolish university tuition fees for 2020/2021 due to COVID-19
To abolish tuition fees for the year 2020/21 due to COVID-19 affecting the economy.
To support students on current payment plans to have a “tuition holiday” like the current “mortgage holiday”.
For the government to implement emergency grants for students during this unprecedented time.
We are facing unprecedented times with the economy. Many students work zero hour or have minimal income. I would like the government implement emergency measures for students and scrap the tuition fees for 2020/21. This is due to COVID-19. Support has given to businesses, homeowners, self employed and those on universal credit. The same support should be given to students who already face unjustifiable tuition fees. This would support thousands of students in continuing education.
