Support the self-employed during COVID-19 with an equivalent to minimum wage
Currently, self employed persons are only entitled to universal credit which is £317.82 per month. This should be increased based on the living wage
We can all agree it’s unreasonable for the self employed during these times to survive on £317.82 per month. Now more than ever we need help and support from the government

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The National Living Wage is an hourly rate of pay, not a minimum income.
Since you started your petition the Government has announced support for self-employed individuals: www.gov.uk/government/news/chancellor-gives-support-to-millions-of-self-employed-individuals
