Sky's exclusivity to broadcast all Formula 1 races
This petition is raised to request a parliamentary debate on Formula 1 and the recent agreement that BSkyB will have exclusivity to ALL rounds of the championship, whereas the BBC will have to concede with only being able to show a percentage of the championship rounds live.
This effectively makes Formula 1 a subscription based TV event, whereas this should be a Free-to-Air TV event.
Such sporting events should be protected and prevented from being exclusively purchased by subscription TV providers and remain free to view to the watching populous.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
