Coronavirus financial support: Self-employed workers disadvantaged vs Employed.
Support self-employed workers with 80% of income, max £2500 per month. The same as employed workers.
We want equality. At the moment £94.25 per week less than £400 per month is impossible to live on.
An employed person on £30k salary, working from home will not have the same expenses as they usually would, they will be able to save. They will be paid £2500 vs £380 if you are self-employed. How is that fair?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
