Honour students effort - ensure GCSE's take place in some shape or form.
Think through the decision they have taken. How must our year 11 students be feeling? Has their hard work now been in vain? Personally it feels like our son's chance to shine, show just how clever he is, has been snatched away from him by this snap, knee jerk decision to cancel GCSE's.
If they were to truly consider the impact of the decisions they make, then surely they would come up with more palatable solutions
to this crisis. This feels like a step too far, too quick. Why make such drastic decisions only to backtrack later? Not enough explanation has been given for the decision to cancel the GCSE's. Was it necessary to make it the decision to cancel exams sound so final, so non negotiable?
