Increase pay for all essential workers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the United Kingdom is currently working through the COVID-19 pandemic, essential workers such as retail workers in supermarkets, cleaners within the NHS, care home workers and many others are working and potentially risking their health for a basic national minimum wage.
As the UK prepares for the lockdown of many businesses such as clubs, pubs and restaurants with safe guarding of workers jobs and pay throughout this national crisis, essential frontline workers are working with an increased risk of contracting the virus.
Some of the essential frontline staff such as retail staff in supermarkets, cleaners within the NHS, carers as well as other workers are working under a national minimum wage, the wages of these staff should be increased during these times.
