Petition Action

Allow workers who live with people at higher risk to stay home. COVID-19.

Petition Details

At present people with underlying health conditions are being asked to stay home to 'shield' themselves from COVID-19. They are limited in their ability to do so when spouses and other family members are having to go out to work every day. This should change.

Additional Information

A government directive on this would allow people with underlying health conditions to truly shield themselves and reduce the risk that they will become a burden on the NHS. At present if a family member chooses to stay home to protect their families, they have to do so on no pay. This makes it impossible for some to make the right decisions for their families.
