Help self employed during Coronavirus! £94.25 a week is an insult!
Pay the self employed 80% of their income (up to a maximum of £2500), just like the employed.
Review the offer of help to self employed. Self employed people pay tax and national insurance, just like the employed, but we are only offered £94.25 a week! Its an insult and so worrying to all the hard working self employed many of whom just make a living wage. We should be given the same as the employed as most bookings for the self employed are cancelled with no guarantee of earnings when we are allowed to return to work!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
