Make insurers pay out for loss of income.
Insurance companies are saying they will not pay out for loss of earnings due to the fact Covid-19 falls outside their insurance policy of ‘notifiable diseases’. This is completely unfair to all who have paid their insurance in good faith to then see insurers doing all they can to avoid paying out.
To instruct all insurance companies who have said they would cover ‘notifiable diseases’ in their policies to include Covid-19 and honour claims for many self employed workers who have paid in good faith for situations like this where loss of earnings has been completely out of our control.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them.
If you are unsatisfied with how an insurer responds to your complaint you may wish to contact the financial ombudsman: www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/insurance
